89 f250 problems

My uncle and I own a 1989 Ford F 250 and we hwve been having problems with; rough idle, and the belt being slung off. We figured the rough idle was due to dirty fuel injectors. Because after putting injector cleaner in the gas tank it smoothed out. We had problems with the belt getting one of the teeth being ripped off. We replaced the belt and now the belt keeps getting slung off. It seems like the belt is too wide. We have had people tell us that the pullys may be not lined up. If anyone knows how to help, please please help.

'89 f150 4x4 351w/c6 Supercab - I have had a similar problem recently and it was due to the power steering pulley not being properly seated, so it was out of alignment and kept throwing belts.... now because I was moving from NC to TX when this happened, my quick fix was purchasing a new belt, and slicing off one of the ribs with a razor. Then just line it up evenly with all of the pulleys except the power steering pulley, which would sit one rib toward the engine. The other fix would be to have the pulley pressed on further, but its running perfectly now so why mess with it....

Just a little redneck ingenuity....

thanks for the help

We replaced the power steering pump and pressed the pully on as far as we could but its still slinging belts. If you know any more tips plz send them.
