I Know It's Not A Ford But It's Pretty Slick None The Less. Dodge Has A 3/4 Truck For 2005 Called The Power Wagon. Unlike The Power Wagons Of The Past, This One Has Some Good Upgrades Standard. It Comes Standard With A 12000lb Warn Winch, 4.56 Geared With Elec Lockers Front And Rear, Selectable Disengaging Front Swaybar, 33" Bfg A/t's, And Several More Off Road Components. It Comes With The 5.7 Hemi Although I'd Prefer The Diesel. Anyway It's A Dedicated Off Road Truck And It Would Be Nice To See Ford Come Out With Something Similar, Instead Of Buying A Truck And Having To Add Thousands To Upgrade.
ford has a prototype coming out ... it is the FX4 extreme super duty. includes winch, winch bumper, front and rear lockers and 35" tires. its alot like the powerwagon
hasn't dodge had that prototype powerwagon for like 5 or 6 years? before i knew what was best, I wanted one back when I was a freshman in high school and i thought they were cool looking (still think that). although even back then i didn't want it unless it came with the diesel!
There are a few 2005 FX4 F150's and F250's on a local lot. They come stock with about a 6" lift and big mud-slingers on them. They are awesome looking trucks, but I suspect that they are very proud of them.
Ford is supposed to offer a "little" Bigfoot version of Bigfoot 15. It will, or is if its out now, be based off of the F150, like 15. Its not that impressive though. It has a 4" suspension lift by Skyjacker or Superlift, cant recall, and massive 33's. No locker or winch to my knowledge. It is blue (I think Royal blue) with lots of pretty decals all over it, like a full tailgate "Bigfoot" logo and Superlift or whatever stickers on the sides. Comes with a rear-view mirror too.
It's very difficult for an auto manufacturer to make a lifted truck....in MA you're only allowed a couple inches of lift over stock..they don't really allow tall trucks...so each state has it's own law against lifts...if that truck is too tall..it's illegal in the whole state so that doesn't do much for sales.
Another thing about the power wagon is that in a manual you get a 6 speed with a granny low and an overdrive. It has a 6.29 1st gear, 2.71 tcase, and 4.56 axle gears. That's a 77.7:1 low range. All i have to say is that if dodge has gotten past their transmission issues then this is going to be one helluva truck.
Nope, they have (had?) issues with them all, but moreso with the autos. With manuals it is mainly the five speeds in trucks, they seem to live rather short lives.

I remember seeing the powerwagon name for a while now too. They've changed the design a few times i think. If i remember, originally the powerwagon was modeled after a WWII lookin truck.
In last month's 4 Wheel and Offroad Magazine, they talked about the Ford HOS edition SD, and they said it might be marketed as a Bigfoot edition when it comes out. They said that Ford had the 3rd or 4th prototype at the Rubicon testing it out.
