Help........9" axle

I need a 31 spline 9" axle for my 73 F-100 4x4. It needs to accept the 531 sealed bearing. Need help locating one.....please. I bought an axle that is supposed to work but it uses the A20 bearing and 3195 seal. I don't like it, it leaked right away. I like the old style. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I might have one

Hey,
I have a 9" laying around out of an '82 f-150. Let me know what to check for you and i can see if this might might be one that will work for your needs. I have to check with the Mrs's though as this one is destined for HER Street Rod Mustang at some time in the future, but she might not mind either, if it will help you out.

let me know.
thanks
micheal

Thanks, but i found out that the bearing wasn't pressed on all the way. So, I will have it pressed on the rest of the way and see how it works. Thanks anyway.

turns out the machine shop tried to press the bearing and lock collar on at once. Had the bearing pressed on 1st then the lock collar and so far......everything is good. Shaun

You know the sad thing about that? Many of the packages with the bearing and retainer even have a piece of paper that warns against doing it.
