K&N Cold Air
I just installed the K&N Cold Air Intake system. It was an easy installation. Was surprised as to the noise. Just cruising or idle, you don't notice any difference. When you step on the gas, you hear the sucking sound. It will remind you of the old Rochester 4 Barrel with the air cleaner lid inverted. Can't really tell if there is any great increase in power. I am looking for added gas mileage. Interested to know if anyone else has used the K&N, and what results they experienced in power and mileage.

I am curious to know why your mileage dropped. That concerns me as I already have bad mileage. What I have noticed is whenever you barely give it gas, you definitely hear the air sucking into the intake. So, if you keep the noise from happening, you should result in better mileage. With the stock unit, you can't really hear anything whenever you gas it unless you actually stomp it to the floor. If my mileage drops 2 MPG, I will put the factory unit back on. I am not really wild about the noise of the Cold Air Intake system. Wasn't expecting it to be as loud as it is. It may be fun for a while but it eventually is annoying as hell.
