Water pumps

I want to know what you guys thing. I'm looking at 2 electric water pumps in Jegs magazine for my truck. One of them is a 35 gallon per minute pump and the other is a 55 gallon per minute pump. Would 55 gallons per minute be too good for a 302? Or should I stick with a 35 GPM? They're both made by the same people.

Stick with a stock pump. If your water pump moves coolant too fast, it won't spend enough time in the radiator and won't cool off enough. Your engine will overheat.

Bigger, faster, and more powerful isn't always better.
