I was out plowing my driveway today and my bronco was running great, till one point I put in the clutch and the tranny began grinding and I could not shift it unless I double clutched it. At that point I realized that the syncos are gone in the tranny. . I have the 5-speed manual in my 85' behind the 2.8, I heard these trannys used inferior metals for the gears and syncros is this true(damn Jap. trannies)? Does anyone know of a good rebuilt company? And is there anything I can do cheaply to make sure my tranny won't fall apart again!!! Any suggestions will be appreciated greatly this is very annoying(MY f-truck tranny 4-speed w/OD takes 385HP and 500ftlb and 35" tires pulling whole-shots without breaking a sweat and my bronco just falls apart).
