Spoke to the radiator shop again today. Radiator is ready. Is flowing good now. $50. Guess that's better than whatever a new one would cost, huh? Supposed to pick it up tomorrow. I will quiz the guy there as to what exactly was involved in the repair and will report back ASAP.........
OK....got the radiator back. $50 was the charge. I asked the fellow what he did to it. Evidently, he flushed it with a costic soda solution of some kind, under pressure. He told me that he would've like to kept it in there longer, but that the newer radiators wouldn't stand it. He said that it would be a lot better than it was, but that it may not be as good as "new." Hopefully, it will be close enough to do the job it is intended to do. Hopefully I can get started putting it all back together this evening.........
