disc changer Q's

i snatched a 6 disc changer from a bronco we recently sold and I am gonna throw it in my 96 PSD for my listening pleasure. My question is the data cable that connects the changer to the head unit is round when looking into the connector and inside there are 7 prongs in a circular shape and then one prong in the middle! what is this cable specifically called and where can i find one? i tried crutchfield and a couple of other places.

also, my head unit is a kenwood KRC-508c and it has a completely different connection, is there an adapter i can get?

Some suggestions...

Well, I'm not sure how you call that cable but one thing I know is that if the disc changer is a different brand from the controlling unit (stereo) you might have a problem. A good electronics technician might be able to bypass that problem, though... Yet, you might want to look at places like Radio Shack for the cable or go directly to the authorized dealer (Kenwood or what have you) to supply you with the right cable so as not to break either unit. However, if you find that getting the cable is too much of a hassle or expensive you might as well trade one of the units in and get the matching brand for the other. I have an Alpine AM/FM tape player w/ a 6 CD changer as well. Good luck.
