When I was trying to find out why my Aero was running so poorly I waited until dark and started it up with the hatch removed so I could see the back of the engine from inside the van.
What I saw was a lot of spark coming from the cap, wires and coil.
The coil had so much spark leaking it made a glow around the metal mounting hardware.
Once you get spark leak it wears a path and can't really be stopped.
So I got the premium stuff from NAPA & replaced it all, along with new Autolite plugs.
Also put in a new fuel filter, oil & oil filter, and air filter.
Now she runs like a new van.
