I am preparing my '72 F-100 to repaint the bottom half of the body. It has the original paint and there was surface rust at the bottom edges. I have sanded the paint away and wire brushed the rust areas and painted on RUSTMORT. Now these areas have turned black and supposedly the rust is neutralized. Can I now prime over them? Should I paint them with Rustoleum?
I was wanting to avoid grinding the rusty areas down to shiny metal because that would mean taking away alot of the surrounding metal.

Any ideas?

Yes, providing the area is dry you should be ready for primer.I have primed over similar products such as RUSTMORe before and it worked fine.
