I have a 2000 F-150 flair side, short bed, and would like to add a cover over the bed. I don't want a hard cover because I want full height access to the bed quickly. Does anyone have any recommendations on the type or brand of cover to add?
I cant think of the name off the top of my head, but I did buy a soft cover from Pep Boys a while back for another truck that was pretty nice. Pulled tight, never came off and you could still open the tailgate without undoing the top any. It also came with 3 arched bars to keep the top tight and the water from puddling up.
no pics, but I've got a TruckTek on my flairside. I got it off of Ebay for about 150 shipped. It's got the easy clip on frame, the 3 arched bars, and will move in/out about 1/4 in on both ends to adj tightness.
hi, I got a Ford soft tonneau cover off ebay for by 2003 F150 SC Sb.
It came in a Ford Box. Very high quality, on and off in 3 to 5 minutes
with no tools. The cover just rolls up and snaps into place to store.
I have a dirt bike and my cover is on and off a coulpe times a week. The company was out of Alabama or Georgia and deals in over stock
dealer part. Cost to my door was about $150. Dave
I have the fiberglass cover and I hate it. It looks nice and the color matches perfect but it does lock and is alarmed. I bought this type of lid because of my drums. I can't bring everything inside to a gig with one trip so i lock the lid each time. My wife doesn't like a cap and they wanted 700 bucks more for a hard cover that rolls up. The fiberglass lid is a pain and I dont recommend this to anyone unless you want to undo the hardware and get another person to help you lift it off. Then where would you put it?
I bought a ford oem cover on ebay. It is charcoal and fits perfect and is top notch quality. I paid 90 bucks shipped I believe. Get a snapless one, they are much better than the snap one. I have snapless and won't go back to anything else.
Ya go to www.accesscover.com. I bought mine there for my F-150 and it works and looks great. Even in the winter I can use it becasue theres no snaps, Theres a tensioner screw witch is great you may pay alittle more but its worth it. I pick mine up on ebay, but it was a access cover.
Hi! I have a 2003 f150 screw 4x4 and have a hard cover and love it! The one that I have is made by a company called Undercover and I believe the web site is www.undercover.com. I love it because it is not fiberglass but I think it is PVC. Extremly easy to remove and is super light. What really sold me was the guy who installed it had one on his 2004 f250 with a 8 foot bed and had his 8 wheel Argo sitting on top of it tied down and that cover didn't even bend. The only drawback was that it has 2 locks, 1 on each side of the cover to lock it where it should really have a lockable tee handle in the center.
I sure love my Truxedo Roll up tonneau on my rig. You can kinda see it in my gallery.
Thease are the best quality and price. Lowest price here in SD compared to Access and others. I personally like my hard cover, it is easily removable. Only down side is you need to remove ahead of time.
