I cant get my timing right in my 85 ranger 2.8.It runs like crap!!!!!!!!Any1 know the easiest way to set it.ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in both of my trucks i have the plug on the dist pointing at the left valve cover and they both run fine and pass emissions...never used a timing light.
