Just bought a 89 Aero and was wondering if anyone knows where to get seat covers for thes rigs. I asked at the local parts store and there looked at me kinda funny .
It's an 89 with 3.0, manual tranns.,shorty with 119,000 miles. Engine runs like a champ with 60psi oil pressure at speed and 25-30 at idle, new water pump and all new hoses, new brakes, and the tires are better then 75%. Seems like the only thing I may have to do to it is a clutch job some time in the near future. I paid $700. Did I do alright?
good price on then aerostar. i sat in a 93 shortie with a 5 speed. i was tempted at $2500. lots of miles, but that doesn't scare me any more with aerostars. i really need the bigger one for the room. i have seen several posts on seatcovers. many with links. a search in this forum might give you a few options. i modified some i got from autozone with the ford logo on them . they cover the haed rst hole, but doesn't matter to me. i did have to cut a hole fo the arm rest though. still no big deal. look pretty. i want to reupholster them my self some day. can't be too hard,..can it? rick
The front seats don't seem to be a problem getting covers for. Sorry about that, I guess I should have been more specific. It's the back seats that I would like to find covers for. One of them, the middle bench seat, is torn up pretty bad right where the two middle seatbelt buckles come up through the seat. I'm starting to think I might just be better off hitting a junk yard and just getting another seat.
