1986 Bronco II throttle problems

When i apply throttle between 1,100 and 2,000 rpm's the engine revs up and down. A lenghthy highway drive almost always cures it.This has been going on for a year now and absolutely NOBODY knows what is wrong. The car is practically new with all the parts I've put on. New;distributer, tps, idle air speed motor,in-tank fuel pump, fuel filter, coil, plugs, wires and a fuel pressure regulator(which is about 2 years old). Any input is highly welcomed.

Try cleaning your throttle body and IAC tubes. Take your throttle body right off the intake and seriously clean it. When I did mine it had between a sixteenth and an eighth of an inch of coking on the back of the butterfly. My rpms dropped when I barely pushed the gas and doing this took care of it. Use a screwdriver, chisel or whatever and get the big stuff off use a can (1 FULL CAN) of intake or carb cleaner to clean the whole thing good. while the throttle body is off remove your iac and clean the tube from it to the throotle body use a screwdriver to clean chunks of carbon out if it's as bad as mine was. hopefully this will help, if not I would check your tps using a volt meter. Check with a knowlegable mechanic or your dealer on the specs I would give them to you but I lost the paper that I had them written on.

,What you said worked for me; I brought my Bll and because I am not an experience stick driver I though that was my fault untill I notice tha from 1100 to 1600 rpm the engine would not respond to the accelerator and go up and down to that range...I read you answer and I removed the black hose. I was amazed, inside was 1/8 of an inch of old oil :-staun , the pcv valve was stuck open for a long time, God knows when, It took half of a can to clean it and, a new pcv valve and thanks God the truck was restored to almost normal. Then just for curiosity I checked the gas filter ... it was really dirty and cloged. Now the car runs excelent.. Thanks for your post.
