Ok, folks, yes, I have gotten back to the FAQ project and I'm actually looking at a completed document for the most part. However, I have a couple of OEM type questions that I was hoping to get answered so I can include some information.
So, here goes...
What is the stock speaker size prior to 1992? I need info from '78-'91 on this one. Fronts and rears.
Does anyone have information on lowering or links? (I know, I know but to be fair I have to include this).
I have stuck this thread for all to view. Hopefully we can get a great list (I have no doubt in Joe's faq prowess). If anyone has a question that they think should be included in the FAQs, please post it here.
Yes, I'll happily include specialty tools. I can think of the spindle nut tool for the front hubs and the silly little hook tool for the headlamp switch right off the bat...anyone else have any specialty tool suggestions or know of any that I might include?
1994 Bronco XL, I had to replace mine a few weeks ago. You could fit in a 6.5" in the door, but it won't sit flush and there maybe a minor cutting involved. SO, I put in 5.25" two-way pioneers. For the rear, it was a 4"x6". These little hummers suck, no bass response. I put in a set of Pioneer 4"x6" two-way again, still no major improvement. So, in hort:
dont forget the fan clutch removal wrenches, and maybe a few tools that are really good to have around such as a torque wrench you pretty much need one if you are going to do anything properly.
there are two different sockets needed for front wheel hub removal on my 84, one is a sockett for a washer that is round and has four square notches in it that has to be at a specific torque, it goes on after the spindle nut. (which you also need a sockett for.) pain in the but.

That's not a "silly little hook" - that's a small (1/8" or thereabouts) Allen wrench!
Shame on you if you bought a tool to do that!
