I just fixed my Poulan and I wanted to stir things up.

I've got a Stihl, our neighbors all have Stihl's and I really like them. I have used a few Husky's and I liked them too. My dad and my uncle both use to have a old Poulans, I hated both of them. Heavy, hard to start, ran like crap, etc etc. Again they were old, out of the early 80's late 70's. I've used an Echo and a Dolmar but I prefer the Husky or a Stihl.

I have a small (very old) craftsman... It runs and cuts up what I need for firewood for camping

I have a Stihl Farm Boss, and just love the power that thing has. It's a real workhorse. For cutting limbs I use an old (maybe 25 years or so) small Homelite. It's light, starts right up and even my wife will use it if we have to clear a fallen tree. She can't handle the bigger Stihl.

Best one I've owned? The Husqy 372xp I just got. Of course, it had better be good for the price!! I spent as much time fixing the Poulan I had as I did using it...

I had a little stihl that lasted about 15 years, (until it got smashed by a 1000# log) We only used it hard for a bout the last 5, but that little homeowner saw stood up to the commercial abuse we gave it. Now i have a little husky 346xp and love it. fast, light, compact, easy to maintain. i like huskys better(right now) but i'd say its a toss up.

I have the Husky 365 and its a cutting sun-of-a-buck. The key to keeping a good saw is proper oil/gas mix and a SHARP chain. whether its a STIHL or Husky.

Poulan is good for brush, light cutting etc.. something you might not want to cut with the $$$ huskys and stihls
