Connector?

I just purchased a F250 PSD 2004 CrewCab. I need to add a brake controller and was checking out the difficulty of installation and noticed a female connector just above the gas pedal. What is this for? I can't find it in the owners manual. Incidentally, I found the female slot for the brake controller. The connector in question looks very much like a printer type connection?

Thanks for the clarification.

I think you're looking at the OBDII connector (15 pins, double wide). Brake controller connector is under the lower dash panel. I think you have to remove the two fasteners near the bottom. Under that, the female connector ought to be nearly all the way over to the center of the truck. If memory serves me, it's a six-pin, double wide light grey connector. If you have trailer tow, there's a diagram in the bag to help you out. My 04 had one, but it was an early 04.
