1995 E-150 5.0 conversion van has been sitting for 6months. After getting it started it ran rough. Put good fuel in it. Immediately after it would not fire. All fuses and relays OK. Can hear fuel pump running.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? I have very little knowledge of fuel injection systems.
Thanks
Pull a spark plug after you have been cranking it. See if it is wet with fuel. Now while you have the plug out put it back in it's boot and hold it onto the frame while someone cranks it. You should see a spark jumping between the gap.
It takes 3 basic things for an engine to operate. Fuel, spark and timing. Just start the process of illamination.
It you have spark try cranking it after a shot of starter fluid is sparyed into the intake. I have heard of some folks even using WD-40. It should fire.
