Quiet...

Does anyone know when Ford is going to come up with a fix and allow their dealers to do something about these damned whining rear ends???

I have the rear end shudder, it's in the garage right now. Hopefully the will replace the clutch pack and I will be good to go.

A lot has been written about this. My dealer in Cary North Carolina put a brand new rear end in. No questions asked. Works great.

I took mine in two months ago had it fixed and it hasn't whined since. Are you talking about the whine between 40-50mph? More like a HOWL I think.

Waiting on new rear axle assembly. Dealer changed ring and pinon and did not work. Demand a new rear end from dealer. THis seems to be the only real fix from other owners on other f150 web sites.
