New From NC

Over the past 14 years I have had three different Ford trucks. My first truck a 1990 Ranger that, during its life at my house, taught 4 sons to drive a manual transmission. In 2001 I replaced the Ranger with a new F-150 that was the first new truck I have ever owned.
<O</O
Over the past year I, in my own mind, determined that I “needed” a new truck. I set about my task by looking at all brands and visiting numerous dealerships, which in itself might support my wife’s initial claim that I had “lost my mind”.
Upon completion of my investigation I determined, with clearest conscience I have ever experienced, that I “needed” a new 2004 F-350 Lariat, 6.0L, 4X4, SRW, Wedgwood blue truck, that now, after great amount and perseverance and salesmanship on my part, resides in my driveway when I am not driving it. (I Won)

<O</O]My wife has since confided that my definition of salesmanship closely matches her definition of whining. I explained to her that once again she was mistaken and upon completion of the conversation along with a hearty “Yes Dear” I again feel as if I have won.

<O</O After explaining numerous times how important it is that a “man” must rise above the crowd to see clearly with a vision (that includes seeing the words “Super Duty” backwards in his windshield) we took a trip to Virginia and a second trip to Myrtle Beach that confirmed this fact and of course I once again was correct

<O</ODuring these trips I feel I have provided my wife an environment in which to travel that lets her see the world, which of course consists of I-85 from Dallas, NC to Richmond, VA and all the roads to Myrtle Beach, in the proper perspective.

<O</O Now that she has conceded the truck is “cute”, which proves beyond a shadow of doubt how the definition and proper use of word is different for a man and a woman, I feel like a three time winner in this successful endeavor.

<O</O I can only hope this brings hope to others who have and will continue to find themselves in “need” of the proper vehicle in which to go through life.
