I'm looking to have a steel structure built on my property, 25x30 or 30x40, with a mininum 10' high door to accomodate my truck with ladder rack. Does anybody have any experience with this sort of thing?
Thanks in advance
30 by 40 is a minimum. The size is a place to really stretch the budget. Most people build too small, it seems big until they pull a car in. I would like 36 wide if I was going to try to work in it. You can store one car and work on another. Personally depending on my interests I think a 40x60 is fairly respectable. It makes your home so much bigger when you have good room in a garage. The cost per sq ft goes down as size goes up.
you are right, but i have limitations due to zoning
