Back at work and truck appears to be fixed. They ended up replacing the EPB sensor. Drove about 45 miles and so far, no signs of rough idle. Overhead MPG gage showed a little better milage then I have seen in a month (and so far, my hand calculations are never to far from the overhead, so I feel it is a good measurement of what you are getting for milage). Funny thing is that I told them that I had read on hear that there were two things that people had seen causing a rough idle.....wire chafing and EPB sensor.....I had just read a post that stated that info a week or two ago. Anyways, I am going to drive some more this afternoon.....if all checks out, will load the predator on the 65hp mode.
I'm wondering if those solving their rough idle issue with a new factory flash and are using a predator, can the predator solve the problem? or is the ford flash 'deeper' in the computer guts than the performance mods?
According to the white tag buried under my hood, my engine was built 06/17/04. already having a rough idle (compared to new drive-out noise level) I may go in and have them look at EPB. Looks like I probably have the most recent computer updates.
I've read hundred of threads today- I'm glad I finally registerd with FTE.
