Exclamation Fire BAD!

I just aquired a 75 f-100 with a 302 out of a 64 mustang cobra, just bought new MSD plug wires cap and rotor, put in with new oil and plugs, runs better, this is where gets wierd. The was sticking a bit, i adjust it a bit and lubes the brakets and throttle controls, seemed fine, adjusted idle cause didn't idle well, and air fuel (i think). Idles great, back fires and just about blows eyebrows off, FIRE!, have adjusted every thing under the sun and i can't fix it, any ideas or should i say screw it and grab a rebuilt from the parts store? any input would be great.

Ben

I can't make out what you are actually asking. If it is out of a mustang I'm assuming it had a holley on it and holleys that old may not have backfire protectors on the power valve. you should prolly just pick up a rebuild kit from holley. I got one at advanced for 20 bucks. It's called a trick kit. It's great.
If i'm totally off base, then tell me and actually ask a question.
