Just changed my CMP sensor.
Well, I was pulling into the driveway this weekend and the engine idled like: RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR......RRRRRRRRRRRR. Just like someone turned the key off for 1/2 second. The steering wheel was blocking the tach so I couldn't see what it was doing but it was definatly an electrical cutoff not a tapering down like fuel pressure loss. It never did it again, after reading all the posts about CMP failures and talking to my son-in-laws father about his experience replacing 3 of them in 60k I thought it's time for mine to go. Now it's back down to the International dealer for another spare.
