oil pressure switch
i just replaced my pressure switch this weekend the old one started pissing like mad before this happened my oil light was flickering coming on then going away i figured this was why but now that i have replaced it the oil light stays on permanently are the two related ? and if so do i need to reset the sensor or something to get the light to go out ? the motor isnt rapping so i assume its gettiung good oil the pump was replaced last year so im knda ruling that out

There's nothing to reset. Recheck to be sure that you didn't plug the sending unit hole when installing it. If not, it's probably defective. But for S&G's, check the wire and esure that it's not grounding somewhere in the engine compartment. Then if all else fails, get an ohm meter and test the sensor to see if it is open when running and closed when off. That is, closed you'll get meter movement and open you should get none. If that checks out then take it back as FUBAR and get another.
