Question i need a little help

I have a F250 powerstroke turbo 7.3L that has decided not to run for me.
it will start and run for a little bit and then its like its not getting enough fuel because it will chug out and die then it doesnt want to start for me. i was just wondering if any one had any ideas what it could be?

Could be a few different things, clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, faults CAMP (cam shaft position sensor), Check your fuel filter, test to see if you are getting fuel pressure (45-65 psi), more than likely it could be a bay CAMP sensor. This is just my initial diagnosis without further vehicle information.

I'll second the CAMP sensor. Do a search on here and find the International part number. You can get it cheaper from them and do it yourself.

If your batteries are strong enough to turn the engine over and it did run for a little bit then I doubt they are the problem. Best place as basstardo said get a CAMP sensor form the International dealer, worst case if it isn't you will have a spare, but it will more thant likely be your fix.

I've never had to change mine, but from what I've read on here, it's very easy. There's actually an article under the Tech Articles secton about doing it...here's the link:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...ke_Diesel.html

Has all the info you need.

Are you getting a check engine light? If you know someone who has a code scanner that might help.

you can check the fuel pressure and make sure it isn't a fuel pump, it is easier and cheaper. If you connect a pressure gage (100psi gage) to our fuel bowl drain line and open the the little yellow handle, just turn the key on you shouldn't need to start it, you should have around 60-65 psi, (spec book says as low as 45 psi)
