Reman Starter ( like to start fresh)
New flexplate bolts
New trany mounting bolts
Dipstick& tube from 1967 F100
Kickdown rod from same
HD trany fluid cooler
New rear trany mount.
Already had Shift rod from install of pw steering
12 Qts of trany fluid
Other than relocating the rear crossmember and getting the primary driveshaft
Shortened is their anything I have forgot?
I replaced the Cruise-o-matic in my '65 to a C6. It sounds like you are converting from a manual? Looks like you have everything covered, you might want to be sure you have a neutral safety/back-up light switch.
Steve, You may need one or two more bottles of fluid.
I don't use a netural safety switch on my truck. Not using one will only allow the truck to be started with the gear selector in any position, and not just in park or neutral as designed. No one else drives my truck and it isn't a problem. I guess when ever I get around to installing my backup lights I'll need to do it then.
The previous owner of my 65 replaced the Cruise-O-Matic with a C6 and had to have a driveshaft made to fit. I think it depends on the length of the C6 tail shaft, theres a long and a short.
If you are going to change the oil then do the filter!
Wire the neutral safety switch in line with the "S" terminal on the starter solenoid. Take the one wire off the solenoid and run two wires down to the trany one goes to the "S" terminal solenoid the other goes to the wire that was on the "S" terminal org.
