Water-cooled inline 6. In a similar vein, Honda produced the air-cooled inline 6 CBX in '78 (one year earlier than the Kawi).
Bingo!
Word back in the day was that the CBX caused the Kawi engineers a great deal of consternation. Cycle World made a guess, based on internal engine dimensions, that the KZ1300 was originally designed to be 1000-1100 cc's in displacement, but got bumped up to 1300 (1267, actually) after the CBX saw daylight.
It runs like a raped ape when it's feeling it's oats, and running on all 6 cylinders. It made 120 HP when 70-80 was the norm. 120 HP today is middle-of-the-pack, but the torque this thing makes blows 'em ALL away ('cept maybe the new ZX-14)...
I have the complete Cycle World review on my website if anyone's interested.

Reason: missed one
my ride is a 2006 harley davidson softail fxst.i bought it new.its the only thing i have ever owned new for myself, it has a screamin eagle stage 2 kit in it too. 95 cu. in. screamin eagle 2 pipes, air cleaner etc. i have the quick release windsheild, backrest, and saddlebags for longer rides.i preffer the bikes look with out the windsheild, bags, backrest, but they are nice for my wife and me to take longer rides.
i still like older trucks and cars, but my wife needed a vehicle last year,so we bought her a new 2008 ford escape suv. she really loves it! she says now she understands why i love vehicles so much.ive created a new car lover. she likes the back of my bike,so she won't need her own bike anytime soon.lol
