Ford Expert Needed.....
I am the proud owner of a 98 expy 4.6 with 120,000 miles....Recently this vehicle failed NJ inspection of Check Engine Light on.....After reading code it came back P0401...insufficient EGR Flow......I have already replaced in differnet steps....EGR valve....EGR sensor...and control unit....visually inspected and cleaned all vacuum lines associated with this assembly......and now even went as far as replacing all 4 O2 sensors....checked for juice to contol and sensor....Very lost with ideas to take care of this problem....It seems it takes quite some time for the light to come back on...this is after a few start up and drives......But its haunting me........Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated......Gotts love this forum.......Thanks guys

Thanks to those who responded....
Problem fixed after trying many different ideas....Finally I got into removing the throttle body....Was quite amazed at the carbom build up on the intake side of the EGR ports..one completly closed ...the other almost as bad.....after a good cleaning......reassmebled.....and problem gone.......Hope this info may bring others a solution......Thanks again
