I'm getting closer to getting the beast alive (my 68 F100). I had to toy around with the timing and distributor, as they were way out of whack. Installed a new Pertronix ignition, super easy install. Now I've got to replace the fuel lines, rebuild the carburator, and then on to all the patch panels I ordered.
The beast was given to me, about 8 years ago by my parents. I drove it for 6 months before grenading 2 pistons. Got a rebuilt 240 for it, and the electrical gremlins took over at that point. With family, full time school, and full time work, I put working on it as a low priority. Now, it is getting its turn.
Sorry for the rambling, but I had to share the joy with this great board! I used the info to get the timing straight, and have gained many ideas for my Ranger.
Thanks again for everyones help and assistance, and knowledge, in getting The Beast closer to a road warrior again!
