I am looking for information about the 2.8. How strong is the bottom end? What kind of modifications can be done? With that short stroke, does the engine rev fairly decent? I would like to know who has a built 2.8L.

2.8 will rev to about 4k okay without strain. Look at the 2.8 Pinto for ideas about performance mods.
