plug wires
plug wires
Just purchased a new set of plug wires from JBA. The order form stated they would be 8mm but instead they sent me 9mm wires. The package was marked to fit a ford 2.9l engine. Can anyone tell me would I have a problem installing these wires on my 88 B2?

The wires should be no problem. What I do is mark the cap posts (#1, #2, #3, etc.) and the wires with tape (#1,#2,#3) and the #1 position on the firewall so I can get the cap back correctly along with the wires.
If you match up the caps, and mark the new one with the cyl#s on the side and top of the cap it makes replacing the wires much easier.
Because of the limited room at the back of the engine and how #6 crosses over the engine, it is usually easier to remove all the wires instead of trying to replace them on at time.
Replace the coil wire last.
