Detatchable Rear (Like Fullsize)

Hey all

I've seen some Bronco II's with the removable rear cap, like on a Fullsize.. I was just wondering how that is possible and if anyone has it? How much does it run if it is possible, and is there any negatives?

It takes a whole lotta fabrication, and I'm sure it weakens the structure as the roof provides rigidity.

If you don't mind a bit of a hassle getting it to seal, its a fairly easy mod.

Detatchable Rear (Like Fullsize)

Hey mister! Long time no conversation! I was wondering about 2 problems we're having with our 86 Bronco II that looks like your wifes. First of all, the front end is wayyy too loose. When I hit a bump, it's horrible. Also, our oil light keeps flickering when the AC is on. We notice an oil smell, and a small amount of smoke usually. Today, it smoked like a freight train, and it was clattering like it's never clattered before. Any ideas?? Please help me! Angel

it would be a tricky fabrication for the removeable hard top. i chopped the top on my bronco II and then went to a boat shop and had them make a costum soft top for me.
