99 Windstar Wheel Bearings??

I'm getting a loud huuummm from my front right wheel. I heard it is probably the wheel bearings. However, I also heard that I will have to change the whole HUB. Is this difficult to do? I assume I will need a spring compressor and stuff. I wonder what the wheel HUB cost and if this is an easy project? Any of you guys know anything about this?

These are pretty easy to do. You don't have to touch the spring etc.
The wheel bearing/hub assembly is held on to the steering knuckle by 3 bolts, from the back side. You remove the brake caliper and rotor, remove the big axle nut and push the axle in. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the hub assembly on and then remove the hub. You may need to disconnect the lower ball joint so you can swing the knuckle etc out enough to access the 3 bolts. Be careful that you don't damage the ABS exciter ring on the outer CV part of the axle.
