These are the same people who get all uptight about cattle belching methane. They'll always have some half-baked plan that's going to do more harm than good. I say we send 'em all to an island somewhere and let them "save" it.
But they exaggerate a lot. They kind of put it like, "if your child doesn't put down his/her window, he/she will die of exhaust poisoning".
They act like if you don't change from diesel buses to NG buses, all exhaust poisoning hell will break loose.
It is unfortunate that some people will stoop so low and try to frighten children for political reasons. They try to do the same thing to "seniors" also for political reasons.
oh man, come on, common sense, anybody.......no? what is this world coming to, yes buses do polute the earth, but why scare kids into riding the bus, omg we're all gonna die from exhaust build-up on a bus that isn't sealed tightly to begin with, ever been on one in the winter, you can have ur window up and still feel the breeze through the window. what is this world coming to
These people need to sit down and realize school buses have been deisil for a long time and that it is not a serious enough health problem to spend x amount on clean buses when the kids are learning with text books 20 yrs out of date. I graduated in high school in 99 and my chemistry book was printed in 1980, my sisters are in the same class right now and it's still the same books. The school systems have way bigger problems than exhaust fumes, people need to realize this. Sorry done with my 3am rant.
I'd say they are a bunch of no mind tree hugging A-holes, I find it sick how they are trying to brainwash kids like that, if i ever caught one of those environmental freaks near my kid talkin about that crap i'd kick thier asses from here to hell and back! Everytime you take your vehicle through air care, smog tests, or whatever they call it in your area and your vehicle fails and you have to spend hundreds of dollars on new catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and egr valves think of what those idiots are planning to stick thier heads in next, seriously what are they gunna do make the internal combustion engine illegal? I agree with "wyomingaggie" we should take all of those green squad tree huggers and stick them on a deserted island and leave them there. Getting them outta society... NOW THAT SOUNDS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TO ME!
