dash lights stopped working!
Hey, I just installed an aftermarket cd player in my 88 Bronco II and it seems to have affected the dash lights. they no longer turn on, and i checked the fuses. anyone know of this problem, and if it was a fuse, was it one of the bigger ones (large silver)? i manage a vortech'd 98 GT, but for some reason i can't figure out this damn problem! thanx for any help!

i know exactly what this problem is because i did the same thing and it took me a month to figure out. when u installed youre new stereo you grounded out and but out a connecting wire on your dimmer switch. all it takes is once. you can take out your headlight switch and ghetto rig it if you want or u can just buy a new one. if u fix it yourself take the switch out and look for a spring that runs in a circle. at one of the ends youll see some melted plastic and a burn out wire. rig something up and youll be good as new.

ahk! thanks i was gonna go nuts if i didn't figure it out soon. how do i get that switch off, does it just pull or is it a small screw? also, am i going to need to change anything as far as my headunit wiring!? thanks a lot.
