Question 2005 F-350 Radio Removal???

Just setting up my new truck and want to connect my XM radio FM modular system. What is the procedure for removal of the radio/CD player unit? The new dash does not have the holes for the specail removal tool, so I guess the method has changed.

Just remove the dash cover and there are 4 screws that hole the radio in place, it is so much better than the old style with the holes

If it is a superduty their is a radio removal tool. You can find them at a parts store, they reach into the four holes in the radio and release a spring like locking mechanism, then you can pull the radio out.

They have changed the '05 Superduty radio. They went to a bolt-in style rather than the old spring lock type.

Grap a hold of the dash just above the cluster and pull straight out. Then reach behind and remove all the plugs that are hooked up.
