.......I have a couple. I type Onan (as in generator). Spell check says to change it to Conan. I type ok. Spell check says it should be wok, but not every time.
I just ran Spell Check and it told me to change Onan to Conan, didn't pick up wok.
Microsoft Word's spell check is always a little quirky. It won't recognize proper names too well... Outlook, my email program, is even worse - I usually just ignore all it's helpful little suggestions.
Mike, I think I know why you feel that you come home from work, get some sleep, and right back to work........might it have something to do with hanging out here half the night? Amazing how time can just fly by when your on a computer........like the tv...its just makes time fly, and brain cells die.
I do that crap now......I visited my parents in Maryland last week........they wanted to know how their kid became so gray in the temples while still so young. Hard work, hard play, marriage. That'll get anybody.
yippe! Only 2.5 hours left in my night.
Why is it that the instant email notification when people reply to threads you've posted in is always a little.... quirky?? Sometimes it will send an email for everyone who replies, other times only one or two, when about 15 people have replied... and in this case, none!
Hope you made it through okay last night, Mike! At least Peppy was there to keep ya company.
For the last week or two, whenever I use the spellcheck (iespell) on this forum, I immediately get a reply that the check is complete. It doesn't catch anything - not even stuff that I purposely mispell.
On all the other forums I visit, it works fine, just like it used to do here.
So does putrefaction There was a time I had to rotate shifts, 7am -3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am. Seemed like just about the time I adjusted to one shift, it would change.
Dono
it doesn't recognize wok because it is a word. Used in china I believe, but I'm not sure what the word is. All I know is that it is a word. Conan? lol.
