just got the predator...Question

Maybe a stupid question but I dont want to do anything wrong. When it says I'll have to cycle the ignition on and off, do I start the engine on and off or, do I turn the switch on and off or to the accessories posistion on and off?

Thanks, trucks in the driveway waiting for me!

Jeff

Don't start it, just Off position to the RUN position.

Yes, I tell my wife where to go all the time
(PULEEZE don't tell her I said that !!!!! )

when you first plug it in as it boots up it will display the revision number at the top of the screen.... the latest is r34f for the 2003 - 2004 ....
your's being a 2005 it's r75

here's more info for you @ --> www. diablosport.com/U7165.php
(cut and paste that into your browser url and delete the space after the period...
since the fte software wants to highlight the name and messes up the diablo links...

Thanks for the help! Now.......maybe an exhaust.

If I should get an exhaust, I do not want it to be loud inside the cab. Are there systems with larger downpipes that are still fairly quiet?

Also found out the dealer would've installed a magnaflow S.S. turoback system....if it was a 03-04. Said the 05's are different and the downpipe wont fit right without cutting and rewelding it. But at least I know its ok with a dealer!

Again anything thats quiet but a great improvement?

san ... dating yourself - the Apocolupse Now movie is OLD

and jcd - it's all a matter or your skill and, in my case, lazy level....
since I be basically lazy and would rather pay someone to do that manual effort....
IIRC it cost about $125 to put my turbo back on... (WELL worth it to me )

getting the stock downpipe out is the toughest part...
and a sawzall and a high cut from the bottom is all that is needed before you disconnect the turbo connection....

The magnaflow system is very quite even at full throttle not bad at all, also the mid 04 and later trucks without the resonator are much easier to do you can get the down pipe off without cutting it took me about 2 hours to do mine.

Does anyone know if the 05's are different in the engine mounting or ? that putting in a 4" down pipe would be harder?
