Window Crank Removal

94 Aerostar, 3.0l. I want to replace my worn drivers side window crank mechanism. The guts are fastened to the door with 3 bolts which have a round button type nut that I cannot remove with anything. The heads of the bolts are inaccessable inside the door and don't feel like anything wrenchable. How are these bolts removed?? Special tools??

Are you sure those are nuts and bolts? Could they be rivets?

Not rivets. Can see what appears to be threads on the portion of the bolt that penetrates the "nut".

Those are a special type of fastener that resembles a rivet. You drill them out to remove, but you can use short bolts/nuts with threadlocker as replacements.
