interesting question

I had an interesting question. Most of the time when i start my truck, it starts smooth. However from time to time, when i start the truck it sounds like its starting a bit rougher and it shakes the truck a bit more when the engine turns over, however it starts just as quickly. Any thoguhts? im thinkin engine mount? but hey who knows?

I would think that a bad engine mount would create the problem all the time. I'm betting condensation on ignition components. Does the problem ever occur when restarting a warm (and therefore dry) engine?

I agree with Paul. My 00 did the same thing on cold starts only. It ran real rough until I shut it off and restarted it. Never had it looked at.

well it seems to do it during the day typically after i start it, drive a bit, and then when i start it the startup will seem real rough and shake the truck a bit but then it runs fine after the initial startup. strangeness..

High octane fuel can cause poor cold start ups.
