Electric Seats

I recently purchased electric bucket seats for my 98 f-150. My question is- Which of the two wires on the connector is the hot wire? My truck had simply a bench seat and these seats are from a 98 explorer. I simply want to run a hot wire and ground to these wires to get them to work.

Not 100% on this, but can't you just try it either way? If its backwards the motor will spin the oposite way than the switch is indicating. Then you can just reverse the wires if it was wrong. You could also use a 9V battery to test it.

What triton said is an easy way to check.
But if you dont want to check then the power is the bk/wh and the ground is the bk.

Thanks for the info! I did not think of that...I thought I may burn something up if I hooked them up backwards.
