Noise from Drivetrain

In my Highboy, at speed 35+ I am hearing a metallic rattleing sound like coming from my drivetrain. Has anyone ever had that? If so what are the possibilities?

Are you hearing it under throttle or coasting? Does it get louder with the rpm's or can you tell? Is it toward the front or back? Does the sound change when you are passing a Ch**vy?

Actually it goes away under acceleration, only hear it at coast or minimal (maintaining speed) throttle. Cant tell direction front or back but doesnt sound like engine compartment. Sounds more like rattling drive shaft into the TC. But unsure.

Check you shifting linkage on the transfer case. One of the bolts came out on mine and one of the rods was sitting on a crossmember, making a rattling noise.

How bout Mr. Carrier Bearing anyone? Gotta love the pinion angles on the old high boys huh? Oh and don't cheat on it, they don't cost that much, and they don't cost that much more to have a shop press it on for you, they old pipe trick only works it la la land!! Good luck!
