Hello all, my name is Ro. I'm here for a friend who isn't into computers. He has a 1978 F-100 truck which was recently in a front end collision. I the process of repairing and rebuilding he bought a cab/clearance light from a company. It didn't fit and it was made in taiwan. Where can we find dealer for these type of lights and where are some other resources for parts. Thanks for your time.
I bought a complete set from a salvage yard off of a late 80's model for less than $20 (pricing was from a friend) for my 78 f150. they were an exact match to the originals. the 80's model has a plug in the wiring that the 78 does not but the bulb socket is the same so that didn't matter.
Hey Ro!
If you're still looking for the lights, I've seen a ton of them on eBay lately. If you run a search in the auto parts/accessories section and put in "cepek", (yeah, like Dick Cepek Tires) I think you should be able to find them.
The ones I saw were pre-packaged (6 or 8???) and if I remember right, the Description text included something like "...Dick Cepek-Style Cab Lights.." or "Cepek Cab Lights", they may have even been in a Cepek blister pack/wrapper.
I came across them while pulling tire listings for Cepek Tires, so one way or another, I think you should be able to find them.
I'll take another look next time I'm on eBay myself, and will post again with more info if I see them again! Good Luck!... Cameron
