im interested in knowing what are the advantages of having the 351. does it really burn less gas as a 302?
with modifications done to engine wouldnt that make 302 burn more gas?
does the 302 to 351w swap give better performance than a 351w stock?
how much would the swap cost generally speaking? as compared to mods on a 302? thank you, please discuss
there are a couple of posts already talking about this. the swap is easy just basicly replaceing one motor for another. best bet is to find a junkyard motor thats complete from oil pan to upperintake. this way your not searching for parts. i did my swap for under a grand. but thats me doing the swap in my driveway. you would have to bore and stroke a 302 to get close to what the 351w puts out in stock form. add a few little goodies to the 351w and you have a very stout package. try a search as well you will see lots of talk about this
