My Dad's '94 Ranger has 2" Skyjacker coils in the front, with some sort of aftermarket camber bushings installed by the alignment tech. His tires are still "tipped out" quite a bit, and although the BFG's aren't showing BAD wear, the handling is really quirky and rough (Rancho 5000's). Has anyone heard of or had good luck with some sort of camber bushings that might get the tires vertical? Also, any opinions on softer shocks? I'm thinking 9000's.
The 9000's are adjustable, so this may soften the ride. You might also look for a non-offroad oriented shock. They don't exactly give the 9000's away. As for the camber thing, I know there comes a limit, even with the aftermarket bushings. I would suspect there is an aftermarket item to correct this; if I had to guess I'd say probably control arms. I'd look through the FTE sponsor list to see if anyone has suspension components, then give them a call. You might also try Central 4wd supply. The url is http://central4wd.com/.
