Post padding and parts trading- door lock operating lever
Besides my exhaust manifold that's broken, yesterday I coudn't open the door no more. Apparently the little plate on the back of the lock-cilinder is broken. I beleave it's called a door lock operating lever. If anyone has got a spare one for my '70 F-100 sports custom it's more then welcom (I'll pay for shipping). Just can't get to the email-connections yet, cause I'm to new on the forum so please be patient.
You guys are funny! I do have a question about the Kanters locks. Do you know if they offer an ignition with matching keys? Seems no one has a full set of door/ignition with a single key operation (like the factory). I thought D. Carpenter used to, but I called them and they said no.
Are we talking about new locks or just the door lock rod?
My lock turns just fine and I can open the door just fine but the lock rod from the lock has snapped off so I just recently ordered the rod and I am expecting it any day now. I had thought I would have to replace the lock and the rod because it seems like many parts were riveted together but I was lucky and found a replacement shop online that is selling these parts.
