Oil weight???'s
Hello all! I have a 02 F-350 PSD first time diesel owner. it sounds like alot of you run the Mobil 1 delvac 5w 40w syn. This is what I would like to run.
1. Will it void my warranty? since ford wants 15w 40w in there?
2. Will it hurt my motor to run this in the summer months? Temp close to 100
3. Can you not buy Mobil 1 delvac syn. in the 15w 40w?
4. What brand filters do you guys run on these beasts?

2-no(i have been doing it for 3 years)
3- i believe it is made in the 5-40 only
4- i use whatever name brand i can find(motrocraft, fram, ect)
now, here is something i just found out. delvac is not a full synthetic oil. it is a dino base with synthetic additives, i have been runing it for 3 yeras thinking it was a full syn.it is very good oil but i think i am going to switch to moblie 1 "truck and suv" full synthetic in the 5-40
