Shackles Problem
I want to lower the rearend of my FX4, but I'm have problem getting the bolt out of the bottom shackles. I have jack the truck up very high . The sping is very bow after i jack it up so high. And what is the safety factor with the spring being in this position. need help A.S.A.P.

Get the wheels about an inch off the ground and put a jack under the differential to raise it about a half an inch or a buddy to wiggle the tire up and down as you wiggle out the bolt. By the time you have the wheels off the ground don't be scared to pull the bolt out but keep your feet out from under the tire. The springs won't flex very much at all and the weight of the axle won't hurt you (I can pick one up alone) but the tire might. There is nothing to worry about except the whole truck falling off the jack stands on you and that would be hard to do unless you misplace the stands.
