3rd from left sta or white w/ black stripe
far right field or orange
I think you have things pretty much where needed. According to the wiring diagram i have, G - Black/red stripe, FLD is orange, B is Black, STA is White/Black stripe.
I spent some quality voltmeter time with it and determined that two miracles had occurred:
1) it ran at all.
2) it didn't burn to the ground.
I unwrapped a lot of wire before I found any traces of a red stripe on that black wire, so that had been confusing me. The other key was that the STA terminal isn't used on my truck due to the factory gauges. I had assumed that the truck would be wired the same way as my mustang, but the mustang had no factory gauges.
Now it's reading >14V at the battery with the engine running. I also spent some time replacing terminals and wiring (soldered all splices and crimps) and rewrapped that part of the harness.
For future reference by anyone else reading this thread, the voltage regulator is labeled to somewhat match the alternator. F = FLD, S = STA.
